Santa Teresa has as an amazing array of incredible beaches stretching up and down the coast. It has some long broad beaches with secret coves, huge rocky outcroppings, popular beaches with crowds of tourists, remote beaches, and island beaches like Tortuga accessible only by boat.
The serene and beautiful Tortuga island is located northeast of the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, around the corner from where the ferry lands in Paquera, in Costa Rica. It is most noted for its cluster of few magnificent brilliant pristine beaches, wonderful reserves and wildlife sanctuaries.
