Santa Teresa has  as an amazing array of incredible beaches stretching up and down the coast. Playa Santa Teresa

Playa Santa Teresa is a splendid beach found just north to Playa Carmen. The beach is encompassed by Pacific Ocean, its shimmering coastline, green clad hills and flourishing tropical jungles. Although quite underdeveloped and isolated, the beach is gradually attracting attention and is becoming one of the most popular beaches of Costa Rica. There are several rocky tide pools and great surf spots, La Lora and Suck Rock, that are blessed with most consistent waves throughout the years. The waves are steep, hollow, large and ride up to 20 feet at times! Furthermore, Playa Santa Teresa now holds international surfers’ competitions every year. Playa Hermosa

Playa Hermosa is a sparkling white sand beach located just north of Santa Teresa. It was used to be called San Martin but later people began to call it ‘Playa Hermosa’ that translates into ‘the beautiful beach’. The beach has remained largely undeveloped and remote. It is a family friendly spot that offers numerous opportunities for sporty adventures and fun activities. Some of the most popular activities are horseback riding, snorkeling, hiking and surfing. Playa Hermosa features fabulous surf spots, a point break and a beach break, which can be surfed by all levels of surfers. Moreover, tourists can have a fine time exploring and swimming in the sandy coves and cool tide pools. Playa Carmen
